Two SIUE wrestlers honored for their studies by MAC

Cleveland, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the 2022 Wrestling Academic All-MAC team on Tuesday. A total of 69 student-athletes have been named to this year’s team.

SIUE Max Kristoff and ryan yarnel were honoured.


Kent State led the way with a total of 10 student-athletes on the team, while Cleveland State followed with nine winners.


The All-MAC Academic Honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in both athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a GPA of 3.20 and have participated in at least 50% of the competitions for that particular sport.
