Transfer rumours: Carlisle United ‘watching’ ex-Chelsea defender
Carlisle United are monitoring free agent defender Kyle Jameson – according to reports.
The 23-year-old is without a club having left Oldham Athletic following relegation to the National League, and the South London Press report that the Blues and AFC Wimbledon are both reportedly keeping tabs on the centre-back.
Jameson joined Premier League giants Chelsea at the age of 18 after spending his formative years with Southport.
But he only spent half a season at Stamford Bridge before moving to West Bromwich Albion, which saw him join Barrow on loan in the 2018/19 season.

He made 25 Holker Street appearances before being released by the Baggies, later joining AFC Fylde.
After a season with the Coasters, he signed for Oldham Athletic in 2020 and spent the last two seasons at Boundary Park.
He appeared 27 times in his debut campaign before injury limited his involvement last year, although he returned in the final weeks of the season.
Carlisle is looking for defensive reinforcements after opting to release Rod McDonald – Dynel Simeu then returning to Southampton after his loan spell ended.
The Blues have so far added Owen Moxon and Tomas Holy to their ranks before Paul Simpson’s side return to pre-season training on June 22.
