The Picker: Some Fans Think NIL Money Makes College Athletes a Fair Game for Critics | Tulsa World Contests

Wake Forest in Syracuse: Lots of basketball jokes here, but the Demon Deacons are undefeated, 3-0 in the ACC and ranked No. 19 in the AP poll. Better than envisioning another bad hoop season. Wake keeps the grill dreams alive for another week, 34-27.

Cleveland at LA Chargers: What advantage in the field? The Chargers have yet to capture the hearts of many LA residents. The question becomes: is the Dawg Pound traveling west? The Browns’ running game should make the difference, as the score may not be as crazy as you might think, given the offensive talent available. Cleveland Rocks, 24-20.

The New York Giants in Dallas: Daniel Jones of the Giants had more yards than Dak Prescott of Dallas. The rest of the comparison doesn’t go so well for the New York QB, although he did manage to lead the Giants to a victory over the Saints, who apparently only play hard in odd weeks. Dallas seems to gain confidence every week as it recovers from last year’s debacle. Cowboys Cruise, 34-16.

Buffalo to Kansas City: A rematch of the AFC 2020 championship game. Bills seem to have improved a lot since their opening loss to the Steelers; the defense has a pair of shutouts and Josh Allen has been good, even though he’s below last year’s MVP level. The Chiefs find themselves in last place in the AFC West, and with it’s only Week 5, three early losses to other playoff contenders could make things difficult. The Chiefs score a big victory, 31-28.
