Paul Schumacher – Dominion Post
Paul John Schumacher II, 37, of Greenville, SC, formerly of Morgantown, and Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, died at his home on June 13, 2022. Paul John was born in Morgantown on January 3, 1985 to Paul John Schumacher and Judy Lynn Riley mason.
Paul John was a sports fanatic and an accomplished athlete in many sports, including basketball. He attended the University of North Greenville on a full scholarship, where he still holds many records. He earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management. He had many joys and hobbies, including his three dogs, Gracie, Dakota, and Jewelz, hunting, fishing, and most importantly, enjoying spending time with his large, loving family. Paul John was a member of the Mount Morris Gospel Tabernacle.
Paul John leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife, Jennifer Teagarden Schumacher; his mother, Judy Mason, and stepfather, Rodney Mason, of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania; father, Paul John Schumacher, of Westover; maternal grandmother, Aileen Riley, of Westover; paternal grandmother, Jean Schumacher, of Charleston; grandparents, John and Armeda Mason; sister, Brooke Gates and her husband Stephen, of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania; brothers, CJ Mason and his wife Kristen, of Taylortown, Pennsylvania, and Zachary Mason and his wife Ashley, of Greencastle, Pennsylvania; nieces and nephews, Abel, Mason, Bo, Blakely, Dayten, Maci, Kaylee, Will, Bria, Rhys and Adler; her stepmother, Dana Stewart; stepmother, Helen Christopher; sister-in-law, Vanissa Cole (Joey); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.
Paul John was welcomed at the gates of heaven by his maternal grandfather, Dallas Riley; paternal grandfather, Robert Schumacher; and her mother-in-law, Sukhwi Schumacher; and his cousin, Christopher Schumacher.
Family and friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, June 20. Visitation will continue at the Mount Morris Gospel Tabernacle, 103 School Road, Mount Morris, Pa., from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service on Tuesday, June 21, with pastors Joe Adams and Johnnie Whitehair officiating. After the service, Paul John will be buried in Beverly Hills Cemetery.
