NBA Star Says Agent Dooms Contract Counterclaims Void

By Max Jaeger (February 14, 2022, 2:01 PM EST) — Former agent of NBA star Zion Williamson cannot use a court-voided deal to bolster contract and tort claims against the power forward, Williamson said Friday as he asked a North Carolina federal judge to cut a wider contract line.

Williamson sued Gina Ford and her company, Prime Sports Marketing LLC, to void the 2019 contract and stop her from claiming to represent him. Ford alleged in 11 counterclaims that Williamson breached their agreement when he signed with Creative Artists Agency and then appropriated his company’s trade secrets.
