Bayern Munich have a lot of work to do over the next 12 months when it comes to contract extensions for key players. The German champions have to secure the future for many young players to ensure that the backbone of the team remains intact. Kingsley coman is one of the few players who is expected to be in line for a new contract.
Die Roten will face delicate negotiations with the French winger. Things will get even more complex as Coman has changed agents. According to Sky Sports, Coman has appointed Pini Zahavi as his new agent.
The France international has reportedly already rejected Bayern’s first contract offer. With two years of his contract, the German club does not have to panic for the moment. However, they can’t afford to wait until next summer. Allowing Coman to go through next season without agreeing to the terms of a new deal will put Die Roten in a weak position if they decide to cash in next summer.
Coman has previously insisted he is happy with the club, so Die Roten just need to come up with a suitable offer to secure his future. The 24-year-old winger will be part of the French squad at Euro 2020, so talks are unlikely to take place in the coming weeks.
Zahavi has been working with Rekordmeister for two years. He represented David Alaba and Robert lewandowski during contract negotiations. Die Roten managed to come to an agreement for a contract extension for Lewandowski, but they failed to resolve Alaba’s future in order to avoid disrupting the salary structure.
Coman will undoubtedly attract the interest of various big clubs if Zahavi decides to test the waters in other big European leagues. Manchester United have been credited with an interest in the Frenchman, while Chelsea were also recently linked with the winger.
Two years ago, talking about Coman’s contract extension sounded like a strange idea at Die Roten. However, the last 18 months have seen remarkable growth in the development of the Frenchman. He showed a lot more maturity in the final third and developed a habit of scoring big goals.

Outside of Coman, Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich are other players who will benefit from contract extensions in the near future. The German champions also have to make a decision regarding Niklas Sule since he will have 12 months left on his contract. Sule has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in recent months.
