
Florence-Niagara Athletes Head To WIAA Track Section | News, Sports, Jobs
THREE LAKES, Wisconsin – The Florence-Niagara Co-op boys and girls track teams competed in a WIAA Division 3 regional track competition at Three Lakes High School. The team had a number of athletes who won a regional event or qualified for the WIAA sections on Thursday at Rosholt High School.
Blake Smith won the regional championship on Monday in the 110-meter hurdles (16.87) and the 300-meter hurdles (44.37). Smith also qualified with a third place in the long jump (18’10).
The other Florence-Niagara athletes who won individual regional championships were Audrey Seldon, 100-meter hurdles (16.27); Patrick Milan, 200 meters (23.27); and Alyssa Cretton, high jump (5’1).
The Florence-Niagara Girls 4 × 100 Relay Team won the title. The four runners were Audrey Seldon, Josie Rock, Alyssa Cretton and Morgan Borchardt (54.52).
Additional individual section qualifiers are:
– Milan (11.46), 2nd in the 100 meters.
– Kiera Sullivan, 2nd in 1600 meters (6:29) and 4th in 800 meters (2: 52.12).
– Morgan Borchardt, 4th in the 100 meters (13.58).
– Evan Bruemmer, 4th in the shot put (36 ′ 4.25 ″).
Three relay teams qualified for the Florence-Niagara sectionals.
– Boys 4 × 200 2nd place: Blake Smith, William Liebergen, Corbin West, Andar Olson (1: 45.37).
– Girls 4 × 200, 4th place: Audrey Seldon, Josie Rock, Emma Brasure, Morgan Borchardt (1: 57.30).
– Boys 4 × 800, 4th place: Jacob Lambert, Matt Bousley, Zach Schroeder, Andrew Hirn (11: 00.53).
