The Chicago Bulls are going to be busy this offseason as they look to challenge themselves in the Eastern Conference. With a top duo of Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic, the Bulls now need to add more talent around their star tandem. One player they should be targeting this NBA free agency offseason is impending Los Angeles Lakers free agent goaltender Talen Horton-Tucker.

Horton-Tucker would be a very intriguing free agency target for the Bulls. They need more help in the back court, but many link them to Dennis Schroder or Kemba Walker.

A source said the Bulls love the talent and potential that Horton-Tucker has and believe he can be a long-term partner alongside LaVine and Vucevic.

In the 2020-21 NBA season with the Lakers, Horton-Tucker finished average 9.0 points per game with 2.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds. He shot 45.8% from the ground and knocked down 28.2% of his three-point attempts. These numbers show a lot of talent, although he has to work a lot on his perimeter shot to take the next step on the attacking side of the field.

He’s only averaged 20.1 minutes per game, which shows he can put numbers up in a very short amount of playing time. With the Bulls, he would likely increase that playing time considerably. Chicago could even do it. consider as a potential starter.

Billy Donovan and the Bulls are not far from being a playoff-caliber team in the East. If they can add a talent like Talen Horton-Tucker and a few other quality players to the roster, they’ll be hard to beat. Chicago is slowly rebuilding itself and fans should be excited to see what their team is up to this offseason.

Many other teams will line up with the interest of signing Horton-Tucker on an offer sheet. The Lakers will have the chance to match any offer made to them, but if a team comes up with a lucrative offer, it could be leaving LA.

Expect to see the Bulls take a long look at THT this offseason. He might not end up landing in Chicago in the end, but the fit seems intriguing and could mean a lot to both parties involved.
