Mumbai Director Sameer Wankhede of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said on Wednesday that there were some bitcoin-related links the NCB could not share at this time, in a seizure drug on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai.

Eight people, including Aryan Khan, Arbaz Seth Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Vikrant Chhoker, Ismeet Singh, Nupur Sarika, Gomit Chopra and Mohak Jaswal, were brought before the Mumbai Esplanade Court on Monday, which placed them in pre-trial detention. until October 7.

Eight people were arrested for questioning by the NCB in connection with the drug seizure on the cruise ship, according to NCB area manager Sameer Wankhede. The eight people were then arrested on October 3.

Three defendants, including Aryan Khan, Arbaz Seth Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, were brought before the Mumbai Esplanade Court which placed them in pre-trial detention until October 4.

According to the BCN, three people were registered under Articles 8C, 20B, 27 (Punishment for consumption of any narcotic or psychotropic substance) and 35 (Presumption of guilty mental state) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act ( NDPS Law).

8C of the NDPS Act refers to the prohibition on producing, manufacturing, possessing, selling, buying, transporting, storing, using, consuming, importing interstate, exporting interstate, importing into India, exporting from India or transhipping any narcotic or psychotropic. substance while section 20B deals with penalties for the production, manufacture, possession, sale, purchase, transportation, interstate imports, interstate exports or consumption of cannabis.

Satish Maneshinde, Aryan Khan’s defense attorney, told the court: “Defendant number 1, Aryan Khan has been invited to the cruise. However, he did not have a boarding pass. There was no seat or cabin. . Second, according to the seizure, nothing was found in his possession. He is only arrested on the basis of chats. “

The other defendants in this case are Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Singh Chadha, Mohak Jaiswal, Gomit Chopra and Vikrant Chhokar.
