Aguinaldo and Bolger Named Boxer Club Student-Athletes of the Month – December
FOREST GROVE, Oré.- Camy Aguinaldo (Senior/Honolulu, Hawaii) and Jacob Bolger (Junior/Portland, OR) were named Pacific University Boxer Club Student-Athletes of the Month for their outstanding performances in the month of December.
Jacob Bolger hit double digits in four of five games in December. The forward averaged 14.5 points per game and grabbed a total of 19 rebounds. Bolger scored a season-high 17 points against George Fox on Dec. 3 and nearly recorded a double-double with eight rebounds in the game. Bolger was the Boxers’ most effective player, shooting over 50% from the field.
Camy Aguinaldo was named Northwest Conference Student-Athlete of the Week in the first two weeks of the 2021-22 season and won the award for the third time in the first week of December. Aguinaldo was nothing short of spectacular to start his senior campaign, averaging 20.5 points per game (team-high) on nearly 50% shooting. The senior was brilliant from beyond the arc too, making 25 of her 65 three-point attempts. Aguinaldo scored 20 or more points in three of the Boxers’ four games in December, including a season-high 29 points against PLU on Dec. 7. She also had two free throws with eight seconds left in the game to give Pacific the 69-68 win over George Fox, capping a 27-point performance.
